To help you understand our approach and decide on the best LP12 option for you, here is a brief background on the work we do.
All LP12s supplied by us will have been built from scratch so each component is disassembled, cleaned, checked, and tested for suitability before being selected for use.
Once assembled, they are put on listening test in advance of sale to ensure the performance is commensurate with the level of specification that has been used. The above includes, but is not limited to:
Plinth checked for trueness, cleaned, and oiled (refinished where appropriate)
Top plate checked for trueness & fitment, cleaned & polished
Sub-chassis checked for trueness
Main bearing housing drained of oil, cleaned, and inspected before receiving fresh oil
Motor checked for excessive end-float, noise, pulley surface cleaned, and spindle oiled
All electrical contact points checked, cleaned, and redressed
Arm and cartridge geometry & alignment checked and set (where applicable)
New suspension fitted
New belt fitted (where appropriate)
Fully test played prior to demonstration/installation
Any replacement parts fitted are new, unless there is an equivalent/suitable period specification part available.
Options
In addition to common upgrades such as arms and cartridges, we offer other options such as spring kits, power supplies and core support (top plates, sub chassis’) to enhance the turntable and take its performance even higher, should you so wish.
Postage
If you live within 20 miles of Liquid Audio, we will personally deliver and install the turntable for you. You are also free to collect where you have the option of a full demonstration beforehand at our Birmingham showroom, or workshop facility in Stourbridge.
You can find some of our current LP12s available, below. If you would like something more specific or built around an existing turntable or components that you have, contact us to discuss further.
